If you forget things from time to time, there is no need to worry. It is usual for us to become somewhat forgetful. However, the good thing about being forgetful is that the things we leave along for a long time can turn into mini science experiments. If you leave a grass seed bag in the sun, grass might grow in the bag, or an artichoke might sprout a beautiful flower if left untouched. It could take years or just one night, but these people's forgotten food and household items turned into things that look otherworldly. While these photos might make you want to "forget" things on purpose, try to resist.
1. Sunflower = Sun Power
Someone left a sunflower to dry in a cookbook, and it ate the pages. We cannot believe how someone left a sunflower in a cookbook and expected it not to get hungry.
At least they ended up with a way cooler piece of art if it would last. We guess that’s why you’re supposed to use wax paper on both sides of the flower.
2. Best Of Luck BEETing It
Someone unintentionally left beets to overwinter in their garden, and look what happened. This was one of those moments when Mother Nature got bored with average-looking beets and decided to take the game to the next level.
Are the beets still edible? They used a chicken for scale. You'd have to admit that these are some beetiful beets.
3. Someone Must've Yelled "Freeze"
Someone left the fountain running during really cold weather, and it froze. At first, we thought it was a scene from the set of the film Frozen.
Maybe whoever left the fountain running was hoping something like this would happen.
4. Life Finds A Way
This person's wife unintentionally left an artichoke out while they went on vacation, and it started to sprout a flower.
Some of you may even think that it looks straight out of an alien movie. We agree that this artichoke looks scary and amazing at the same time.

Someone accidentally left a bowl of beet juice on the counter, and the top layer rippled. This is just making us increasingly uncomfortable the longer we stare at it.
However, after seeing this photo, we purposefully left a bowl of beet juice on the counter, and on the counter, it will remain for as long as it takes.

Someone left out this broccoli, and it sprouted. We have a feeling that a cauliflower out there must be laughing after looking at this photo. Do you know why?

When you leave the bag of grass seeds out for a couple of months, the grass grows on its own. It shows us that grass doesn't need human help.
That's what we've been doing wrong - we actually put it on the lawn, which clearly prevents the grass from growing. Now we know how to grow grass.
12. A Mummified Banana
Dads are the best. This dad found a – wait for it – 20-year-old banana that was somehow left in his coat pocket for too long. Only dads can pull off something like that.
We're pretty sure the mom probably said, "Just take the bad parts off; it's still good to eat."
13. Soy Sauce Planet
The breaking news is that a new plant has been discovered. The experts are calling it "Soy Sauce Planet."
A person discovered the new planet after leaving soy sauce in the pan, and the salt in it crystallized.
14. Burn It As Soon As Possible
Someone accidentally left spaghetti with mushrooms in the microwave for a week. It looks like a fluffy ball of mold. We wouldn't go near it or take photos of it.
Seeing spaghetti in the photo reminds us of a dad joke. "What did the spaghetti say to the lasagna? Pasta Lavista!"

This mold on cream cheese looks extraterrestrial. We have never been so interested and disgusted at the same time.
The mold looks like a brain, and it seems like the cheese has eyes on it. A couple more days, and it will become sentient. Do we have to wash our eyes now, given that we have watched this abomination?
20. Did Someone Order POH-TAY-TOES?
Someone left microwavable potatoes in their dorm over winter break and they sprouted. The internet keeps on getting weirder by the day.
Go ahead and plant them to get a microwaveable potato tree! If you think that it is impossible to fit a tree into a microwave, you can always rip the door off to have a room-sized microwave.

The world started to take potatoes lightly and forgot that the root vegetable possesses extraordinary powers. Here is an example of how potatoes can take over the world one day.

We don't know whether the driver was SAUCED or not. Just imagine if another truck passes by and drops pasta on it.

Someone forgot to put the ice tray back in the freezer, and this happened. They should leave this fridge in the North Pole and let it do its thing. It will get that polar ice melting concern under control right away!
As someone who has never used an ice-making fridge, we have to ask how did this happen? This is quite magical and impressive.

This person left their Hershey bar alone over time, and it turned into powder. Someone who loves chocolates can feel the pain for this person. The real question is, did it taste the same?
This process is called "chocolate bloom." It happens when moisture is exposed to the chocolate. Moisture dissolves the sugar crystals on the surface of the chocolate and leaves a powdery, white look.
